James Dorsey (29 Februari 1904 – 12 Juni 1957) adalah seorang pemain klarinet, saxophone, komponis dan ketua grup musik jazz Amerika Serikat. Ia dikenal sebagai "JD". Ia merekam dan mengkomposisikan lagu-lagu standar jazz dan pop "I'm Glad There Is You (In This World of Ordinary People)" dan "It's The Dreamer In Me".
